Commercial Spray Foam Insulation in Birmingham
Spray foam is the most efficient solution (per thickness of insulation) for Commercial Buildings.
At, Websters Insulation, we have over 35 years of experience in the industry. We specialise in polyurethane spray foam insulation and it’s application in commercial buildings across Birmingham, and the UK as a whole.
Polyurethane Spray Foam is a widely used solution for many commercial and industrial buildings including:
- Factories
- Warehouses
- Offices
- Industrial units
- Exhibition halls
- Showrooms
- Shops
- Football stadiums
- Municipal/charitable/religious buildings
Spray foam provides an efficient, cost effective insulation and condensation solution in commercial buildings around the Birmingham area. It offers an ideal working environment with the added benefit of reduced fuel costs. It can be applied to the vast majority of surfaces and in older buildings it can be particularly useful as it can be used for asbestos encapsulation.
With both existing buildings and new builds, the foam is applied to the underside of the steel, aluminium or asbestos roofs and walls to a specified thickness. A K-value of 0.023 W/mK provides unmatched levels of insulation, reducing U-values from ~6.0 W/m²K with as little as 75mm of sprayed foam. A U-value of ~0.48 W/m²K is possible from as little as a 50mm application of foam.
Foam Thickness (mm) | K – Value | U – Value |
25 | 0.023 | 0.840 |
50 | 0.023 | 0.437 |
75 | 0.023 | 0.295 |
85 | 0.023 | 0.264 |
100 | 0.023 | 0.225 |
130 | 0.023 | 0.173 |
The finished surface is non-toxic and odourless, featuring low water absorption and high resistance to chemical attack. The finished surface can also be high-pressure jet washed for maintenance purposes.
At Websters, all our spray foam insulation materials we use are made to BS 476 Part 7 fire retardant standards. Class zero standard is available where additional fire protection is required. The surface can also be coated with emulsion paints or chlorinated rubber vapour barriers if required.
