Spray foam provides a cost effective and efficient insulation solution in commercial buildings around the Leicester area. It offers an ideal working environment whilst reducing condensation, with the added benefit of lower fuel costs. It can be applied to the overwhelming majority of surfaces and in older buildings it can be particularly useful as it can even be used for asbestos encapsulation.
For both existing buildings and new builds, the foam is applied to the underside of the steel, aluminium or asbestos roofs and walls to a specified thickness. A K-value of 0.023 W/mK provides unmatched levels of insulation, reducing U-values from ~6.0 W/m²K with as little as a 75mm application of sprayed foam. A U-value of ~0.48 W/m²K is achievable from as little as a 50mm coating of foam.
Foam Thickness (mm) | K – Value | U – Value |
25 | 0.023 | 0.840 |
50 | 0.023 | 0.437 |
75 | 0.023 | 0.295 |
85 | 0.023 | 0.264 |
100 | 0.023 | 0.225 |
130 | 0.023 | 0.173 |
The finished surface is non-toxic as well as odourless, boasting low water absorption and high resistance to chemical attack. Furthermore, the finished surface can also be high-pressure jet washed for ease of maintenance.
At Websters, all our spray foam materials are made to BS 476 Part 7 fire retardant standards. Class zero standard can be provided where additional fire protection is a requirement. Emulsion paints or chlorinated rubber vapour barriers can also be applied to the finished surface if required.
